Quinta Linea is a homestead community opened by the government of Paraguay 15 years ago and is now the home of hundreds of families.  The Methodist Church of Paraguay has served the region for almost 10 years with a church and a Christian school for grades 1 through 6, with 75 students.  Living at the church/school complex are several families which consist of almost 20 people, all who depend upon well water for drinking, cooking and sanitation. 

However, the locally sandy soil has lead to the collapse of the first two hand dug wells at the church, and the current well has only 12 inches of water.  The Agua de Vida Ministry drilled a well for the church in December, 2002, as well as the installation of a bathroom and clothes washing facility for the local ladies and church members.
