AGUA DE VIDA NEWS RELEASE

October 2, 2002

After three long years of praying and waiting, we are pleased to announce our drill rig has arrived in Asunción!  We have also had a dedication ceremony with the local Rotary Club and the Paraguayan Methodist Church.

The rig arrived at the Port of Asunción on Thursday, October 3rd.  With the help of a local Customs Dispatch Agent, we were able to get the rig out of the freight yard and bring it “home” on Thursday, October 10th.

In addition to the financial support we received from the Decatur, GA Rotary Club, two local Paraguayan Rotary Clubs assisted with procuring the drill rig, the Rotary Clubs of Asunción and Luque.  These two local clubs joined us and the Evangelical Methodist Church of Paraguay to dedicate the drill rig on Tuesday, October 22nd.  The ceremony was attended by Missionaries Ed & Linda Baker; Pastor Pablo Mora, President Methodist Church of Paraguay; Carlos Sanchez, the local Rotarian responsible for international projects; Rolf Staudt, President Rotary Club of Asunción; Liduvina Vega de Urizar, President Rotary Club of Luque; and many other local Rotarians and Methodist pastors.  The ceremony was held at the Central Methodist Church of Paraguay located in Asunción.
